USPS Shipping Assistant labels not accepted

My local Post Office has decided to NOT honor the USPS Shipping Assistant delivery confirmation bar codes, with the discounted Delivery Confirmation rates. They require customers to purchase the green retail labels and affix them over the Shipping Assistant bar code. After being informed of this new 'policy' I checked the DMM and all the recent Postal Bulletins and could find no information to that effect.

Has anyone used Lulu before? I want to make a professionally bound book of my Grandmother's writings as a holiday gift. I am looking at Lulu. If I am reading the site correctly, it is only going to cost me $6.50 for a single copy. Is that right or is there something hidden that I am not seeing?

I don't ever expect to sell any copies but if other family members want copies then I can pod and have them pay for the printing costs. On the face of it, Lulu looks good, almost...

Dropping folios

I've had it! I can no longer sell folios (coffee table size books) on-line with this puny shipping reimbursement. No point in upping the price to cover the extra shipping needed when they are selling out there somehow for a buck. We are going through our online inventory today, dropping all folios because we can no longer sell them on-line at such a loss. I give up!

Alibris Voucher today or not

I was bored at work today and was looking at amazon listing for a book. It was published by two dogs publishing but I cannot find them on the internet. Has anyone heard of them? The book was expensive but I was trying to get to the site to see if it was cheaper at the site or if there were any other that they sell. Has anyone heard of them?

I have been trying all night to send pictures of a book to a customer and Charter Cable Internet keeps saying the message has been detected as SPAM and I have to mail it to THEM for approval before I can send it!

This is replying to someones question - one person - not a flood of people - I took all the text out and it let me send 2 pictures one at a time and now won't even let me do that!

Alibris Fee Structure

This is about the Alibris Basic program fee structure. The way I understand it say I sell a $4.00 record. I have to pay $1.00 record sold plus 15%. Which I understand. That is still the highest commission around. 40%. Now I see something new in the mix, a variable closing fee of 80 cents. Which would make the net sale of $1.60. Which is over 50% commision. International Shipping

Earlier this week I successfully and quickly had Alibris secure extra postage for me from an international buyer. Usually, I'll take a few dollars loss but rarely more than that. Anyway, I just sold a 2 volume set on the River for $70.00 to someone in Australia. The books' weight alone is an even 10 pounds. Several times a customer has contacted us because they had not received their book. Is it explained to them that regular delivery can take up to 3 weeks for the Post Office to deliver the book. Also, we mailed a book priority mail and they still have not received the book and it's been almost 3 weeks. I double checked to make sure it was expedited and it was. Happened to notice 3 titles in which BWB had its copy at one cent and was the only copy at a penny. E.g., 0382241487 has 5 copies showing with the most expensive 17.52.
