I've seen a similar decline in the $30-100 range. Also, the corollary to that: lots of orders in the $10 and less range. It seems that I am shipping more books, for less money, and working much harder. As an Endicia user, paying with a credit card, I receive a warning if I exceed a monthly quota for 500 media mail pieces. Normally, I receive those warnings in August-September, December-January, but I actually received one in June, which was unusual...

Got 6 UK orders today. 4 were for listings that are now empty, I was the only seller. 2 were for listings that now are only left with offers from the 2 big no-inventory Mega dropshippers. Most of the general listings, a buyer would have to pass-by 12 Acceptable and good offers to even see my Very Good or Like New offer.

I am selling, from UK, more expensive books to oversea customers than in the UK? There is a slow down in general books but niche market books are on the up.

My sales have been strong to Germany, the Netherlands, and Australia lately, but the decline in sales to the UK is quite puzzling. Hell, Mexico has outperformed England in the last quarter!

About 25% of our total orders are international and a good portion of those go to the UK. Our UK sales have been very steady, with spurts of increase here or there, definitely no decline here.

I certainly am not aware of any new anti-Americanism this side of the pond because of the recession. I would say that, on the whole, we have not got over the Obamania yet. I think your first two explanations are more likely.

My orders to the UK have practically shriveled up and disappeared. In previous years, I have been sending about half a dozen books a week to the UK. The last book I sent there was on April 8th, six or seven weeks ago! I've seen a similar drop across the board, including domestic sales, but nothing has been as dramatic as the dearth of orders from across the pond.

Two explanations immediately come to mind:

1. The recession. (Obviously.) From what I read in the papers...
