I work with a charity in London and we have about 600-700 books that we have had donated that I am currently in the process of listing on Alibris.
So far I have listed about 230 books over the past 3 weeks. The books range from fairly common £2 or £3 ones, up to some very expensive £200 ones... I have tried to do a mix of them all.
So far we haven't sold a single book... not 1.
As we are a charity and aren't making any money out of it personally I'm beginning to wonder if it's a waste of my time and money. We have tried to undercut were possible in an attempt to sell the books, but that doesn't seem to work either.
Is this normal? Do you actually sell books on here with any regularity or is it worth maybe looking at Abe instead?
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also I'm not sure if anyone know, but is there somewhere to see just how many books sell on Alibris each day/week/month... to give us some idea of if they really have a large turnover or not.
Thanks for your help,
